About the Neighborhood

The Wissahickon Neighborhood is a mostly residential neighborhood located in northwest Philadelphia. The neighborhood is adjacent to the Wissahickon Park, where residents find easy access to miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, paved paths, ball fields, playgrounds, and fishing in the Wissahickon Creek.

Many residents choose to live in the neighborhood for easy access to the Wissahickon Park, Chestnut Hill, Manayunk, East Falls, Roxborough, Center City, the Main Line, and northern suburbs of Conshohocken and King of Prussia.

Within two miles of the neighborhood are the shops and restaurants of Main Street Manayunk, East Falls, and Roxborough.
