June General Membership Meeting
The next General Membership meeting is June 10th at 7pm and will be held via Zoom, which is an online application available on your computer or smartphone for free. All neighbors are invited to hear, participate, and learn about neighborhood concerns and current issues.

In Memoriam Jeff Allegretti
We are very sorry to relay the passing of Jeff Allegretti, a former Executive Board Member and Zoning Chair of WICA and longtime champion of our neighborhood. His energetic spirit and commitment to our community will be greatly missed.
Our community has suffered a great loss and we are left better for his efforts. WICA offers our sincere condolences to the Allegretti family.

Postponed: Philly Spring Cleanup – LaNoce Park
The Philly Spring Cleanup scheduled for Saturday, April 4th has been postponed.
It takes a team to make it clean! The 13th Annual Philly Spring Cleanup will be held on Saturday, April 4th 9am-2pm. Volunteer registration is now open at PhillySpringCleanup.com. Get your family, friends, and neighbors to join us at LaNoce Park as we prep the park for the spring season.
Wissahickon Transportation Center Plan
SEPTA invites you to learn more about the upcoming Wissahickon Transportation Center Project at an open house this Wednesday, February 26 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM at Gustine Recreation Center, 4868 Ridge Avenue.
On January 30, 2020, SEPTA issued a Community Update for the Wissahickon Transportation Center Project.
At the September 2019 meeting of the Coalition of Civics, SEPTA presented 15% conceptual plans for the Wissahickon Transportation Center Plan. You can access a pdf of the PowerPoint presentation below.

Update: At the Zoning Hearing on January 22, the ZBA granted the application.
The application is for the erection of a rear yard deck accessory to an attached single-family dwelling. The proposed use, rear yard deck with stairs from the ground level to the deck in the case of attached buildings, is prohibited in the zoning district.

147 Sumac Street: Public Meeting Results
The application is for the erection of eight townhomes with roof decks, parking garages, and four surface parking spaces on the same lot as the existing duplex, which will remain and be converted back to a single family home. There will be a total of nine dwelling units and twelve parking spaces on lot.
The ZBA Hearing is scheduled for February 12, 2020 at 2pm at 1515 Arch Street, 18th Floor – Room 18-002. Any member of the public can send a letter to the Zoning Board in advance of the hearing or give testimony at the hearing.
