Renew Your WICA Membership and Enter to Win!

It’s time to renew your membership or join Wissahickon Interested Citizens Association (WICA) for 2023.* All memberships expire at the end of each calendar year. Membership is only $10, and this year we have a special treat. If you renew or join by 5PM on January 11, 2023, you are eligible to win a great Wissahickon-themed prize.

Raffle items include 2 blank note cards featuring Hermit’s Cave (left) and Lincoln Drive Trail (right) and a black squirrel sticker. Items retail at $15 – more than the cost of your membership. Two winners will be selected live and announced at the January 11, 2023 membership meeting at 7pm (via Zoom).

We’re grateful to all of our members! WICA Members enjoy the opportunity to contribute to the direction of the future of the neighborhood, to get involved in neighborhood issues, and to help maintain and improve the community.

* All memberships expire at the end of each calendar year and must be renewed on an annual basis to maintain active membership status.

SEPTA Bus Revolution

Virtual Community Conversations November 11 & 22, 2022 6:30-7:30PM
In-Person Open House December 6, 2022 5:30-7:30PM

SEPTA is sharing a draft bus network that combines your feedback with the Bus Revolution team’s ideas into an updated—but still draft—bus network. SEPTA recently announced changes to their bus service, including the cancellation of the 27 bus and alteration of the 9 bus, among other routes. A virtual meeting to hear the concerns of NW Philly residents was held on Monday, November 7, but was capped at 100 participants, and thus many people could not join. SEPTA held a second virtual meeting to accommodate more people on Tuesday, November 22 from 6:30-7:30pm.

Officials from SEPTA will be in Roxborough to hear and address the concerns of neighbors at an in-person open house on December 6, 2022 5:30-7:30PM at Roxborough Memorial Hospital, Wolcoff Auditorium, 5800 Ridge Avenue. No registration required for open house.
